Radford University is seeking an online, fast-track adjunct for undergraduate nursing to support the Fast Track-RN to BSN department. Adjuncts may be renewed at the Dean’s discretion and do not guarantee course assignments.

Responsibilities include teaching as needed and attending on-campus meetings if required, with telework eligibility noted. CPR certification and Virginia licensure eligibility are essential.

Job Description

This is an online, fast-track adjunct faculty position. Adjuncts supplement the faculty of a department whenever additional faculty are needed. Adjuncts hold appointments as defined by their letter of appointment, without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean, adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct appointment does not guarantee course assignments.

Required Qualifications

All faculty must have at least a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with current clinical experience. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. Current CPR certification is required. If certified as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), continued certification is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of registered nurse experience preferred. Experience as instructor or adjunct faculty preferred. National certification in specialty preferred.

Employment Conditions

Must be able to drive between locations and attend on-campus meetings if required. Must have a criminal background check. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. Current CPR certification is required. If certified as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), continued certification is expected.
