Job summary

College of DuPage invites qualified applicants to join its Theater program as Adjunct Faculty teaching SP27 courses in Theater. Instructors plan courses, teach in classroom, lab, online, hybrid, or blended formats, and evaluate students with timely paperwork.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in the discipline (or Master’s + 18 graduate hours). Prior teaching of combat, acting, improvisation, and technical theater is highly desirable; remote teaching via technology is supported with access

• Prior teaching experience in combat (unarmed/armed), acting, improvisation, appreciation, and technical theater is highly desirable.

• Evaluate students and submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.

Adjunct Faculty, Theater - SP27

College of DuPage believes in the power of teaching and learning. We seek adjunct faculty members to teach Theater.

Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings and weekends.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications

• Minimumof a Master’s degree in the content area or a Master’s degree plus 18semester hours of graduate credit in the discipline of instructionrequired.
• Previousexperience teaching combat (unarmed and/orarmed) acting, Improvisation,appreciation, and technical theater highly desirable.

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
