Job Description
  • Teach Social Work courses in the Behavioral Sciences Department under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division
  • Courses may include Introduction to Social Work, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Equity and Cultural Wealth in Social Work Practice, Social Welfare Policy and Practice, and Interviewing and Documentation in Social Work
  • Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Madison Park High School, Malden High School, PAO Center, and Freedom House.
Job Requirements
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Social Work or related field.
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Preferred Requirements
  • Community college teaching experience preferred.
  • Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language is preferred.
Additional Information

Salary: $1,343 Per Credit Hour

Effective Date: Fall 2024 semester; open until filled
