Position Summary

The College of Professional Studies (CPS) invites qualified individuals to apply for an Adjunct Faculty position focused on designing and teaching online courses in Social Media Content Creation. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties And Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities may include designing courses, teaching courses, or both:

Duties Involved In Designing Courses Include

  1. Developing learning goals and objectives
  2. Selecting readings and other course materials
  3. Recording videos
  4. Designing assessments including discussion board posts, writing assignments and projects
  5. Attending regular meetings with design team

Duties Involved In Teaching Courses Include

  1. Creating a syllabus
  2. Leading class and conducting all associated planning and grading
  3. Reviewing student work and assessing learning
  4. Participating in trainings and meetings (as needed) with staff

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Academic expertise and 10+ years of experience in social media content creation, such as principles of visual design and branding, creating engaging graphics and videos, developing a comprehensive content strategy, using analytic tools to measure content performance, etc.
  2. Previous experience designing online courses
  3. Proven ability to teach successfully in both the in-person and online settings
  4. Master’s degree required
  5. Experience with instructional technology

Preferred Qualifications

  1. PhD or other terminal degree preferred
