Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. seeks an adjunct faculty member for the College of Theology on our traditional ground campus.

The College offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Christian Studies, with focus areas including Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership. Adjunct faculty deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods, current technology, and industry practices to support students’ academic and spiritual growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Master degree in professional counseling, mental health counseling, addiction counseling, counseling psychology or marriage and family therapy.
• Must hold current credentials as a Licensed Independent Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor, or a Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapy Counselor.
• Preferred: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Theology, or Ministry, and related licensure.

Responsibilities

• Equip students with the required skill set and facilitate classroom discussions.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Respond to student questions within established timeframes.
• Model and reinforce the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.
