Central Arizona College seeks an Adjunct Reading Instructor to teach face-to-face reading courses at the Maricopa Campus. The instructor will provide engaging, student-focused instruction designed to strengthen college-level reading, comprehension, vocabulary, critical thinking, and academic literacy skills.
This role requires classroom teaching using Blackboard, development of aligned lesson plans, and participation in adjunct trainings.
Central Arizona College is seeking a qualified and student-focused Adjunct Reading Instructor to teach face-to-face reading courses at the Maricopa Campus. The instructor will provide engaging, supportive instruction designed to strengthen students’ college-level reading, comprehension, vocabulary, critical thinking, and academic literacy skills.
This position will be located at CAC's Maricopa Campus
Master’s degree with either 15 graduate credits, or a combination of 24 credits of graduate and upper division undergraduate credits in Reading from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or a K-12 Reading Specialist Endorsement.
Knowledge, skills, ability, and experience in adult developmental education.
Position Start: Spring 2027
Salary: $900/Credit Hour

Employment with Central Arizona College is contingent upon the successful completion of the background verification. The level the background verification for this position is: Standard level.
