Job summary

Broward College invites applications for a part-time Radiologic Technology instructor. Minimum education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology; Florida CRT licensure and ARRT certification; CPR AED; two years’ clinical experience and two years teaching in a JRCERT accredited

  • Two years post-secondary teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program.
  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
  • The successful candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.

  • Employ teaching methods that accommodate various levels of academic preparation and incorporate technology to facilitate learning.

Job Description Summary

Minimum Education
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required
Minimum Certification
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Florida licensure (CRT) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • CPR AED Certification
Minimum Experience/Training
  • Two years’ clinical experience in professional discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, academic achievement, and persistence; (3) technological competence; and (4) the ability to use skills and strategies that engage students in ways that facilitate learning and prepare students for productive lives.
  • Employ teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and incorporate appropriate and engaging technology across different modalities of instruction to facilitate student learning.
  • Facilitate the needs of different learners across programs by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students.
  • Have a willingness to examine and adapt one’s instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support students.
  • Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
  • Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback on assessments and activities.
  • Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
  • Adhere to all reporting deadlines such as grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
  • Participate in service to the college and its community.
