Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Radiography to provide clinical instruction for first- and second-year students in hospital and clinical settings. The role requires collaboration with the clinical coordinator to ensure compliance with hospital guidelines before rotations and to model proper imaging techniques.

Qualifications

• Current AART license.
• 2 years of experience in a clinical area.
• Approval to provide clinical instruction at host institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction for first- and second-year radiography students in a hospital and/or clinical setting.
• Work with the clinical coordinator to ensure hospital guidelines are followed and student instruction requirements are met before each clinical rotation.
• Demonstrate imaging exams according to hospital protocol for students.
• Assign daily workloads to students to ensure clinical experience and Trajecsys check-offs are completed.
• Support students when questions arise and provide timely feedback on performance.
• Foster an enriched learning environment and maintain documentation of student activities in Trajecsys.
• Evaluate and document student progress and communicate issues with the Program or Clinical Coordinator.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and performance.

Job Summary

Provide clinical instruction for first- and second-year radiography students in a hospital and/or clinical setting.

Job Duties:

• Working with the clinical coordinator, the clinical instructor must ensure that the specific hospital guidelines are followed and requirements for student clinical instruction are met prior to each clinical rotation.
• Providing students an example of how specific imaging exams are to be performed according to hospital protocol.
• Assigning students daily workloads that will provide opportunities to obtain the necessary clinical experience and completion of check-offs found in Trajecsys, the software used to track student lab/clinical performance as they progress through the program.
• Being available to aid students when difficulties and/or questions arise in providing care.
• Providing students feedback on their performance in a timely manner.
• Providing students an enriched learning environment.
• Verifying and documenting student activities using Trajecsys:
• Evaluation/grading of student progress.
• Communicate any student/clinical issues with Program or Clinical Coordinator
• Maintaining confidentiality with student records and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current AART license
• 2-years experience in clinical area
• Approval to provide clinical instruction at host institution

• Associates Degree in Radiography
