Job summary

Vincennes University Fort Wayne invites applications for adjunct instructors for the Early College Summer Grant Program in Fort Wayne and South Bend. Openings are available in Public Speaking, Psychology (two positions), and Business Internship.

This is a non-tenure track, part-time role teaching dual credit courses to high school students. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Early College Programs, the successful candidate will contribute to course development, assessment, and student success,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the content area or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the content area.
• High school teacher certification and/or experience working with high school students is preferred.
• Ability to teach college coursework and engage dual credit students.

Vincennes University invites applications for the position ofAdjunct Instructors--Early College Summer Grant Program Fort Wayne& South Bend. We are seeking applicants for instructors in the areas of Public Speaking,Psychology (2 positions), and Business Internship.

Position summary:

The Early College Program has openings for adjunct faculty to teachdual credit courses as part of an adjunct faculty pool. This is anon-tenure track faculty position, reporting primarily to the Assistant Dean of EarlyCollege Programs for Vincennes University- Fort Wayne.

Job Requirements/Experience:

Candidates should have the interest and expertise to teach theirassigned courses in an open access college setting. Minimumqualification is a Master’s Degree in the content area or aMaster’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in the content area. Highschool teacher certification and/or experience working withhigh school students is preferred.

• Be able to teach rigorous college coursework to high schoolstudents.
• Be able to incorporate a variety of teaching strategies andtechnologies in the classroom.
• Be able to encourage and assist new students to develop skillsand confidence.
• Be able to provide a challenging environment for the highlyskilled student.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Primary responsibilities:

• Teaching undergraduate/dual credit courses and associatedlabs.
• Participate in the development and implementation of assessment,including learning outcomes at the course, program, college, anduniversity level.

This position will be reimbursed through Crossing the Finish Linefunds.
