Job Purpose

Adjunct faculty must be grounded in the history of philosophy in their approach to teaching required courses for the philosophy department, and they must be able and willing to the support the Jesuit and Catholic mission and identity of the University.

Essential Duties

Prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; assess student progress in relation to promulgated outcomes; report grades.

Additional Skills Required

Minimum Education Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Philosophy or related discipline.

Preferred Education

Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Philosophy.

Minimum Job Experience Requirements

Previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool until May 2026 or until positions are filled for the current academic year.
