Medgar Evers College, part of The City University of New York, invites applications for Adjunct Faculty for Fall 2026 across English, Philosophy & Religion, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Mass Communication. SoLA seeks qualified instructors capable of teaching, mentoring, and guiding students while participating in department activities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
• Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses and hold office hours.
• Participate in committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
• Perform teaching, research and guidance duties in the relevant disciplines for Fall 2026.
• Review course descriptions and teach in areas such as English, Philosophy & Religion, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Mass Communication.
