Job Description

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UNSY 606- Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems Interoperability and Control.

Course Description

This course allows students to examine the technologies, processes, and concepts associated with uncrewed and autonomous systems interoperability and control. Students will analyze command, control, and communication (C3), automation, and interaction requirements in uncrewed and autonomous system applications and evaluate concepts, methods, and technologies affording the functional control and operational capabilities of such systems. Students will be introduced to the types and classifications of system control elements, including their applications, capabilities, limitations, and constraints. Students will investigate concepts, methods, and technologies employed in uncrewed and autonomous system C3, automation, and interoperation and examine associated issues and current application challenges in order to evaluate, recommend, and defend potential solutions.

Location Policy

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Applicant should hold a terminal degree in related discipline or field and experience in design, development, test and evaluation, and/or application of uncrewed and autonomous systems, including principles associated with C3, human factors, HMI, autonomy and automation, or modeling and simulation
