Job Description

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach AVMG 609 – Airport Sustainability and Resilience for our Worldwide Campus.

Course Description

Modern airports face the dual challenge of ensuring environmental/social responsibility and operational resilience. This course covers strategies and the business case for waste management, energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable infrastructure development. Emphasizing the crucial aspect of operational resilience, the course goes beyond by providing methodologies to prepare for and respond to disruptions—whether natural events like extreme weather or man-made challenges such as system failures or security breaches.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Qualifications

Terminal Degree From List and Relevant Experience/Industry Credential (basic self-report documentation required). Graduate Degree from List and Relevant Experience/Industry Credential (detailed and verifiable documentation required and Program Coordinator approval). 5 Years (or more) Airport Management/Leadership Experience, 3 Years (or more) Airport Management/Leadership Experience and Airport Management/Leadership Industry Certificate (IATA, AEEE, ACI).
