A leading community college in Arkansas seeks a qualified educator for instruction and curriculum development in Allied Health and Sciences. The role includes overseeing laboratory equipment, enhancing student learning, and adapting instruction to diverse learning styles. Candidates should have a Master's degree and a commitment to teaching excellence.
Responsibilities: Reports to the Dean of Allied Health and Sciences with responsibility for instruction, curriculum development, assessment of student learning, and oversight of laboratory supplies and equipment (for on-ground classes only). Preference given to candidates who understand active learning and divergent learning styles, and who can develop computer and/or video learning modules to support classroom instruction. Work assignments may include online, evening, and/or weekend hours.
Qualifications: Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline; previous teaching experience, preferably at a community college; evidence of ongoing commitment to improve teaching and student learning; evidence of the ability to work effectively to meet the educational needs of a diverse student body; good communication skills; and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
