The District Board of Trustees of Pensacola State College, Florida is seeking Adjunct Instructors for the Natural Sciences Department to teach college-level Microbiology courses. The role includes instructional delivery in various formats, curriculum development, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least 18 graduate hours beyond the Master’s, and must be able to pass a criminal background check. This position offers $35.00 per hour for those with a Master’s Degree and $38.00 per hour for Doctorate holders.
Adjunct instructors in the Natural Sciences Department will teach college-level Microbiology courses offered in face‑to‑face, live online (Zoom), and asynchronous formats. Duties include instructional delivery, curriculum development, assessment of student learning, participation in program evaluation, and maintenance of College and department standards.
Master’s Degree:** $35.00 per hour
Doctorate:** $38.00 per hour
Applicants must satisfy Florida Statutes §435.04(2) regarding background investigations. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted for all successful candidates. Disclosure of adverse information during background investigation disqualifies the applicant.
