Responsibilities
  1. Course Instructors are needed to teach with a Faculty partner in the humanities, sciences, or multidisciplinary courses which explore social problems with an emphasis on diverse thinking and vocational acts of service.
  2. Maintain knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the academic discipline and in professional practice.
  3. Apply instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to teaching the courses assigned (undergraduate, graduate, adult learners, online, etc.).
  4. Create syllabi and effectively deliver the learning objectives of the course.
  5. Instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students.
  6. Learn to use relevant sections of MyLipscomb, Lipscomb University's online database system, for entering grades and student information.
  7. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  8. Integrate technology effectively into the teaching and learning process.
  9. Interact professionally with students, educators, institution representatives, and the public.
