Job summary

ProTrain is seeking an experienced In-Person Instructor to teach Medical Assistant courses in a classroom or synchronous setting. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of teaching in Medical Assisting and 3+ years in the related field, plus an active National Medical Assistant certification.

This part-time, contracted role starts immediately with future classes possible. Course location is in-classroom in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; evenings and Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience.
• Minimum 3 years in related field of study.
• Active National Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, etc.)

Responsibilities

• In-Classroom Instructor responsibilities.
• Cover topics: Medical Records, Medical Asepsis / OSHA Standard, Sterilization and Disinfection, Vital Signs, Physical Examination, Eye and Ear Assessment, Tissue Healing, Gynecologic Exam and Prenatal Care, Pediatric Examination, Minor Office Surgery, Administration of Medication, EKG, Colon Procedures, Radiology, Clinical Laboratory, Urinary System, Phlebotomy, Hematology, Blood Chemistry and Immunology, Microbiology, Emergency Medical Procedures.
• Adhere to weekly class schedule.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and assessments.

POSITION OVERVIEW

ProTrain is currently recruiting for an experienced In-Person instructor with experience teaching a Medical Assistant course. Candidates must have experience teaching in a classroom or/and in a synchronous environment, as well as have a minimum of 2 years in Medical Assisting and/or EKG Technician. This is a part time, contracted teaching position to begin immediately. Future classes will be available to the right candidate. Course Location: In Classroom, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Course Day/Time: TBD (First Offering tentatively scheduled for August start dates). Flexibility to teach on weeknights and/or a Saturday is preferred. Course Start Date: Options for teaching weeknights (twice a week) 6-9 pm and a Saturday option for other classes (9 am - 4 pm).
