Northern Essex Community College in Massachusetts seeks adjunct faculty to teach mathematics on the Haverhill and Lawrence campuses.
Instructors will teach courses from Foundations of Mathematics through Linear Algebra, with potential online or hybrid options after training. Appointment is contingent on enrollment and needs; start date is Spring 2027. Strong teaching commitment to student success is required.
POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Mathematics: Mathematics Department; STEM Division; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses.
SUMMARY: We are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various mathematics courses on an as needed basis for the Spring 2027 semester. Successful applicants will be expected to teach mathematics courses at all levels, from Foundations of Mathematics through Linear Algebra. Seeking instructors for primary dayandeveningface-to-faceclasses. Futurepossibility of online or hybrid instructionexists and would require successful completion of mandatory training.Adjunct faculty will engage in a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success.

REPORTS TO: Dean of STEM
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
SALARY: $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As needed, based on departmental requirements and candidate availability.
