Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a passionate adjunct instructor for the Management Accounting course to provide high-quality instruction and support student success. You will engage students in the decision-making process and assess their performance upon completion of their learning outcomes.

The role is based at the GCU Main Campus in Phoenix, AZ, requiring in-person, on-campus instruction for the Spring 2027 term.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Accounting or MBA required with 3 years accounting experience.
  • CPA or CMA certification is necessary.
  • PhD/DBA preferred for advanced positions.

As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The Colangelo College of Business is a Christian business school for servant leaders and innovation based upon ethics, purpose and stakeholder integration to help communities prosper and flourish.

Management Accounting:

This course is an introduction to the use of managerial accounting data in the decision-making process. Topics include the use of cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis and relevant costs in decision making, using budgets and the balanced scorecard to evaluate performance, methods for setting prices of products and services, and analyzing capital investment opportunities.

Location: GCU Main Campus – Phoenix, AZ. In-person, on-campus instruction. Term: Spring 2027 (01/04/27 – 04/25/2027).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters in Accounting (MSA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) 3 years accounting experience or 5 years business experience with accounting responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD/DBA in accounting or other business related discipline.
