Full Sail University invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Instructional Design and Technology (Remote). The role is part-time (up to 20 hours/week) and requires residence in Florida.

The candidate will support the MS program with course design, multimedia assets, and online/on-campus lectures. Candidates should have a Doctorate in Instructional Design or related field, strong design and writing skills, and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development or Higher Education required.
• Minimum four years related and verifiable work experience in instructional design for corporate training and electronic media asset creation.
• A Doctorate or terminal degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Education, Instructional Design, Communication Design, or Training and Development is required or preferred.
• Experience designing interactive media, podcasts, instructional video, and educational games is preferred.
• ATD certification or CPLP is preferred.

Students develop, design, and produce engaging instructional content using a variety of software applications for corporate training and academic environments as they simultaneously develop their writing, time management, and team-building skills. Candidates for this position must be well-versed in graphic design, writing, and instructional design theories and practice. Professional experience in creating interactive media, podcasts, instructional video, and educational games is preferred. This position is part time working no more than 20 hours per week, online and must be resident in the state of Florida.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills, maintain student-centered focus, and stay current with relevant industry standards.* Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning.* Perform lectures for campus courses, and hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses. A Doctorate degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development or Higher Education is required or a related terminal degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in an appropriate combination from the following subject areas: Education, Instructional Design, Communication Design, and Training and Development.**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**:* Association for Talent Development certification or being a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance preferred.**Skills:*** Communication, teamwork, and flexibility/adaptability* Empathy toward student issues/concerns* Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, Outlook, and in creating effective and engaging course assets using the Adobe Creative Cloud applications* Experience in designing and presenting live and virtual training sessions**Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:**Work is performed in an office and classroom environment.
