UM23 Bowie State University (BSU) seeks a Physics faculty member in Maryland to teach undergraduate courses and support STEM majors. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, maintaining lab safety, and assessing student performance.

The applicant will be responsible for teaching undergraduate coursework and associated instructional components in Physics. Courses support majors in Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, and other STEM fields at Bowie State University. The faculty member will provide high‑quality instruction, prepare course materials, assess student learning objectives, maintain safety standards in laboratory settings (when applicable), and ensure timely submission of grades and required documentation. The selected candidate is expected to demonstrate engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote student learning and success. Incorporation of innovative instructional methods, active learning, and inclusive teaching practices is strongly encouraged.
Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field.
Master’s degree in Physics or related discipline with significant graduate‑level physics coursework may be considered based on experience.
