Job Description: The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Cyber Engineering Technology for Fall 2025. Most Computer Science and Cyber Engineering Technology courses are taught in person with a few courses taught online either synchronously or asynchronously. Undergraduate Cybersecurity courses are offered only online synchronously.

Required Education and Experience:

  • An earned Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Working towards or has earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
  • Broad training in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology and industry experience.
  • Lecture and computer based laboratory teaching experience or related industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.
  • Experience with non-traditional commuter university setting.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
