Adjunct Faculty in Computer Information Systems - CIS362: Data Analytics - Hybrid, Arlington, VA Campus

This role involves teaching undergraduate-level Computer Information Systems (CIS362: Data Analytics) courses in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online instruction. The position requires holding 11 in-person sessions per week at the Arlington campus, with the remaining coursework delivered asynchronously online. The faculty member also maintains office hours and provides mentorship and academic support to students.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching assigned courses using a pre-designed curriculum and your professional expertise.
• Enhancing course effectiveness with technology and multimedia tools.
• Arriving at campus at least 30 minutes before in-person sessions.
• Utilizing online platforms to support online students.
• Providing timely feedback and maintaining high academic standards.
• Participating in faculty meetings, training, and adhering to university policies.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven teaching experience, especially in college-level and online settings.
• Professional experience in Database Management and Data Analytics.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.

Additional requirements:

• Ability to travel weekly to the campus location.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work more than 40 hours per week when needed.

Compensation ranges from $2,300 to $3,100 per course, depending on experience and course load. Applications must include all unofficial transcripts for consideration.
