Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach HVAC in-person. You will deliver instruction in HVAC topics, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems, and guide hands-on lab activities using industry-standard tools and equipment.

Candidates should hold an associate degree in HVAC (or BS in a related field) with relevant work experience, plus proficiency with instructional technologies such as Blackboard.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC or related field, with 4 years of related work experience, or BS in a related technical field and 2 years of work experience.
• Experience with instructional technologies (presentation software and LMS such as Blackboard).
• Commitment to inclusivity and excellence in teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in HVAC topics such as system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Provide hands-on training in lab/shop environments using industry-standard tools and equipment.
• Develop and/or follow established course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of equipment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training as required.
