Job summary

The Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach in the Doctor of Physical Therapy and/or the Physical Therapist Assistant programs. Opportunities exist to assist with a variety of courses across the curricula in both programs.

To teach in DPT, candidates must hold a Doctorate (DPT, DHSc, etc.) or a Master’s with clinical expertise and be eligible for licensure in Indiana if teaching clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Doctorate (DPT, DHSc, etc.) or Master’s degree with evidence of clinical expertise in a content area and be eligible for licensure in Indiana for clinical skills courses.
  • For PTA program, eligible for licensure as a PTA or PT in Indiana and must have at least a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with content-area expertise.
  • Submit CV or resume, cover letter, unofficial transcript, and three professional references as part of the application.

Responsibilities

  • Lecturing, lab assisting, course coordinating, and/or providing classroom support to course coordinators based on experience, content expertise, and course requirements.

Opportunities exist to assist with a variety of courses across the curricula in both programs. Individuals with experience/teaching interests in any area of physical therapy are welcome to apply. Time commitment will vary by content area and applicant availability.

To teach in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, applicants must possess a Doctorate (DPT, DHSc, etc.) or Master’s degree with evidence of clinical expertise in a content area and must be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Indiana if teaching in clinical skills related courses.

To teach in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program, applicants must be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist assistant or physical therapist in the state of Indiana and must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with evidence of expertise in one or more content areas.

As part of this application, applicants will be asked to submit a curriculum vitae or resume, a cover letter, an unofficial transcript, and contact information for three professional references.
