Job summary

OSU-Institute of Technology seeks an instructor to facilitate learning for its Electrical Construction program, with courses in DC/AC circuit analysis and basic electrical trades, located in Tulsa, OK. The role requires an Associate’s degree or recognized certification and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Five years of Electrical Construction experience is expected; teaching experience is preferred, and OSHA-30 certification is a plus.

About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position will facilitate learning for the Electrical Construction program for courses located in Tulsa, OK. Courses are based on DC & AC circuit analysis, introduction to electrical trades, basic electrical wiring methods, and alternative energy.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Construction technologies from an accredited university or college, or certification from an industry recognized technical training program.
  • Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree/certification requirements.

Experience:

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Five years of evidenced Electrical Construction experience.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license.
  • Electrical Journeyman license.
  • Preference given to an individual that is authorized to teach OSHA-30 general industry.
