Strategic Education, Inc. (Strayer University) seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach cybersecurity courses in a hybrid format across Dallas, Northwest Houston, and Washington, DC campuses.

The role combines on-site sessions with asynchronous online instruction and requires weekly in-person meetings. The ideal candidate holds a Doctorate in a relevant IT field and certs such as CEH/CHFI, with strong communication and presentation skills and commitment to student success.

The Adjunct hybrid faculty roles teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online. This role also maintains office hours as assigned.Please Note: We are seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach hybrid courses out of either the Dallas Fort Worth, Northwest Houston, or Washington, DC campus locations.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can change lives?Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for **undergraduate/graduate level** **Cyber class** for the upcoming winter **quarter, starting 1/4/27** in a hybrid format. The hybrid format is described as teaching the course in both the in-person and online modalities. This role requires 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus. The balance of the course is instructed asynchronously online.Strayer Adjunct Faculty are not just instructors; they are also coaches and mentors. We believe in a strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom.* Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.* Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.* Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.* Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.* Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.* Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.* Adhere to University policies and procedures.* Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required. **Job Skills:*** Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.* Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.* Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.* Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Effective time management skills.**Work Experience:*** Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.* Preferred professional experience in the area of cybersecurity.**Education:*** Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science required**Certificates, licenses, and registrations:*** Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).* EC-Council CEH or CHFI cert Certified Ethical Hacker required**Other:*** Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s).* Must be able to lift 25 lbs.* Typical office setting.* Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.* Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.* Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.* Access information using a computer.* Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.* Effectively cope with stressful situations.* Strong mental acuity.* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.* Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.$2,300-$2,600 is the expected starting pay per online assignment for this position per quarter and $3,000 is the expected starting pay per on campus assignment for this position per quarter.
