Job summary

College of DuPage invites applications for Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education to teach Mind, Body, Spirit. Courses are non-credit adult enrichment, often meeting once a week for 1–4 weeks, with sessions on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Instructors may teach in-person at Glen Ellyn or satellite campuses, with remote teaching capabilities and stipend-based compensation. Successful candidates will have at least two years of experience teaching adults and must pass a pre-employment

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience teaching to adults.
  • Instructors should be able to teach in-person at the Glen Ellyn and our satellite campuses.
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver courses in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, with delivery modes including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats.
  • Evaluate students and ensure timely submission of required instructional paperwork.

Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education - Mind, Body, Spirit

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Required Qualifications:

ContinuingEducation courses are short, focused courses offered for personal growth anddevelopment. We are currently seeking instructors to teach non-credit, adultenrichment courses for Mind, Body, Spirit. Most courses for adults meet once a week for threehours on a weekday evening or Saturday morning for 1 - 4 weeks. No academiccredit is awarded.

  • Minimum two years’ experience teaching to adults ispreferred.
  • Instructors should be able to teach in-person at theGlen Ellyn and our satellite campuses.

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.

A pre-employment background check at the Colleges' expense is required.
