Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education - Lifelong Learning

College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Life Long Learner courses. We are committed to supporting student success and meeting the educational needs of our diverse, multicultural campus.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to teaching in a multicultural environment and accommodating students with diverse learning abilities. We encourage applications from candidates reflecting the increasing diversity of our student body and community.

Opportunities may include teaching during days, evenings, and weekends, offering flexible scheduling.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Adjunct faculty are responsible for course planning, instruction in various formats (face-to-face, online, hybrid, blended), student evaluation, and timely submission of required paperwork.

Required Qualifications

• Experience teaching courses targeted at adults over 55 for personal growth and enrichment in topics such as history, culture, architecture, science, travel, etc.
• Most classes are under 6 weeks, meeting once a week for 2-3 hours.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to teach remotely using technology; experience in online teaching is preferred.
• Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of online instruction.
