A higher education institution in New York is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Computing Sciences Department. Adjunct Faculty - Computing Science (GRADE)

The Computing Sciences Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. FLCC offers many different course modalities, such as Asynchronous Online, In-person, Hybrid, HyFlex, and Synchronous Online. Adjunct Faculty members may have the opportunity to teach in one or more of these modalities based on training and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students.
• Teaches courses and evaluates student performance.
• Maintains accurate student records.
• Submits pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
• Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree, or a certification in a related field and relevant work experience.
• Must have a demonstrated willingness to learn and teach new technologies.
• Must have a demonstrated willingness to increase teaching proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in a related field.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Additional Information:

• Adjunct rate of pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour.
