Qualifications

Job Summary

To teach up to 15 credit hours per semester at the BCTC Georgetown Scott County Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) Campus and/or the BCTC Danville Campus. Instruction responsibilities include all aspects of Computerized Manufacturing and Machining, such as safety, cutting tools, attachments, machining specifications for CNC mills and lathes, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, wire and sinker EDM, blueprint reading, and metrology.

Job Duties
  • Plans and carries out instruction and prepares learning materials for specialized training programs.
  • Provides instruction in theory and practice of Computerized Manufacturing and Machining.
  • Prepares lesson plans and maintains student records and reports.
  • Implements Workplace Organization (5S) standards for cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintains order and discipline.
  • Develops and enforces safety policies in the laboratory.
  • Maintains equipment and recommends purchases.
  • Reports inventory and supplies needs.
  • Participates in professional development to enhance teaching and technical skills.
  • Integrates 5S methodology into student expectations for a safe, organized environment.
  • Provides follow-up services for student placement and course improvement.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree or higher AND four (4) years of work experience in a CMM-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in Computerized Manufacturing and Machining with 4 years of related work experience.
