Job Summary

The discipline of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences (MCIS) needs adjunct instructors for general education and basic programming courses (CS201, CS230, CS231, CS315). We offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and in Computer Information Systems with five concentration options. We also offer service courses and prerequisites for other programs across campus. Online, in-person and hybrid opportunities are available. Preference will be given to those applicants who can provide in-person instruction. Teaching experience is desired.

The Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Computer Information Systems (MCIS) is one of the most diverse and dynamic of all the departments at Jacksonville State University. We offer Bachelor of Science degrees and minors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems and Master of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Systems and Software Design.
