Job summary

Jacksonville State University’s Department of Communication is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Digital Journalism, Digital Media Production, Sports Media and Analytics, and Public Relations and Advertising.

The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in a related field and have at least 18 graduate hours in Communication, or substantial related work experience, with the ability to teach in-person, hybrid, or online modalities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline.
  • At least 18 hours completed in graduate level Mass Communication courses.
  • And/or extensive work experience in the discipline in which they are applying to teach.
  • Experience with in-person, hybrid, or online instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate level courses in Communication.
  • Prepare syllabi and assessments for assigned courses.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and service activities.

The Communication Department of Jacksonville State University’s College of Business and Industry seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach undergraduate level courses. Candidate must have a minimum of a master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline with at least 18 hours completed in Communication and/or extensive work experience in the discipline in which they are applying to teach. The department offers courses in Digital Journalism, Digital Media Production, Sports Media and Analytics, and Public Relations and Advertising.
