Job summary

Qualifications

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS is preferred and training may be provided.

  • Maintain discipline knowledge by participating in professional communities.

Overview

Berkeley College is seeking highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach Computer Information System and Information Technology courses and to support its vision of becoming the college of choice for students pursuing lifelong success in dynamic careers. Berkeley College has a diverse student population across its New York and New Jersey locations.

Salary

Salary Range: $3,330.00 - $3,780.00 per course/semester.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in the classroom and reply to student emails, questions, and discussions on a timely basis.
  • Be a faculty leader in your classes embracing USDLA Quality Standards.
  • Evaluate and grade students\' class work, assignments, and papers on a timely basis and provide effective feedback to guide student learning and success.

  • Maintain \'discipline\' knowledge by participating in one\'s own discipline-related professional communities.

Qualifications
  • A master’s degree and other appropriate credentials, if applicable.
  • Experience using Python, R and SQL preferred for Information Technology courses.
  • Demonstrated success in teaching at an institution of higher education, preferred.
  • A willingness to teach on campuses in NY or NJ or online.
  • An ability to teach classes during the day, or evening, if needed.
  • Comfortable using technology and Microsoft suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System such as Canvas, preferred. Will train.
