Essential Job Functions:

Aurora University is searching for qualified candidates tosupervise/evaluate pre-teachers in their methods and studentteaching clinical experiences. A master's degree in a relatedfield, current Illinois teaching licensure in content area ofsupervision, and five years teaching experience is required.Daytime availability and travel to local schools is required. Thisis not a full time faculty teaching position. Pay is per studentsupervised.

Master Degree in Education or related field. Professional Educator License/Certification required in contentarea of supervision. Minimum qualifications must align to the Faculty Qualification Policy

Experience :

5 years teaching experience

Skills :

Knowledge of content for area of supervision;evaluation of what constitutes good teaching, knowledge ofCharlotte Danielson Evaluation System, mentoring disposition.

Expected Availability (Days, Times, and Location) :

Requirements vary by content area but generally include 3-4in-person evaluations at the assigned school during school hours.Placements will be within a 30-mile radius of Aurora University.Supervisors are also expected to conduct weekly check-ins with boththe student teacher and bi-monthly with the cooperatingteacher.

Compensation :

Compensation is based on the content area andthe required number of evaluations. For Elementary Education,Secondary Education, and Physical Education, the rate is $550 perstudent teacher. For Early Childhood/Special Education (ECS) andSpecial Education, the rate is $825 per student teacher.
