Job summary

College of St. Scholastica invites applications for adjunct faculty for undergraduate programs in Accounting, Applied Economics, CIS, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior. Adjuncts are hired on a course-by-course basis in Duluth, St. Paul, St. Cloud and other locations.

Compensation is paid per credit: $1,020 for undergrad, $1,112 after 40 credits in five years, and $1,352 per credit for graduate courses; updates appear on the electronic contract.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidates will hold a Master’s degree or higher in their field of expertise.
• Successful applicants will have previous adult learner teaching experience.
• Have at least three years business experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, to exercise initiative and work for continuous improvement is desired.
• Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and multicultural competency are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with SB&T educational objectives.
• Course text, syllabus and other teaching materials are expected to achieve course and program outcomes.
• Attend faculty development and in-service meetings and contribute to SB&T as requested on a semester basis.
• Maintain published course contact hours and demonstrate commitment to SB&T mission, goals and objectives.
