Position Overview

Black Hawk College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty/Part-time Instructor for the Art/Design Department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare syllabi and develop lectures, discussions, and activities to enhance student learning.
  • Develop and implement methods for evaluating student performance.
  • Maintain necessary instructional materials and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Art, Fine Art, or related fields (M.A./M.F.A.) with emphasis in fine arts studio disciplines, interdisciplinary studies, animation, visual communication, or web design.
  • Ability to instruct studio and art appreciation courses.
  • Teaching experience at secondary or post-secondary levels preferred.
  • Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience, starting at $693.36 per hour for less than a master’s degree, $808.92 for a master’s degree, and $866.70 for a doctorate (as of Fall 2024).
