Job Description
Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in American Sign Language or Interpreter Prep. Assignments may include alternative delivery methods, evening courses, and multiple sites. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service, must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Location: Scott Community College and online learning
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Possess a baccalaureate or graduate degree in the area or related area of study or occupational area. Or have an associate degree in the field with 3000 hours of relevant work experience. Or have special training and at least 6,000 hours of relevant work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Considerable learned physical skill is required to perform sign language. Certain coordinated finger, limb or body movement must be performed routinely in the course of regular work. Extended standing or sitting required. Constant repetitive motion and mental processing may be required which could lead to fatigue.
Salary $800.00 per credit hour; EICC retirees $1000 per credit hour.
