Adjunct Faculty - American Sign Language

Job Details

Location: Ivy Tech Bloomington campus

Pay Range: $46.50/hr (based on skills and experience)

We are seeking part-time instructors capable of teaching American Sign Language, either in person or virtually via Zoom. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress within provided syllabi.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classes in accordance with college policies and course objectives.
• Utilize technology effectively to enhance teaching.
• Develop and maintain course materials and student records.
• Engage students actively to promote positive learning experiences.
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues and adhere to college policies.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Certification in American Sign Language or teaching experience in ASL.

Additional Information

This position is hired on a rolling basis for the semester, with responsibilities conducted within regulatory and professional standards, including FERPA and diversity promotion.
