Pima Community College’s Social Sciences Division is seeking part-time/temporary instructors to teach African American Studies courses for the 2026-27 year and beyond. Instructors may teach online or with flexible hours while supporting a diverse student body.
Qualifications include a Master’s in Africana Studies or related field (or Master’s plus 18 graduate hours), or a terminal degree in a related field. Experience with D2L Brightspace and diverse instructional modalities is preferred.
Salary: $1030 per load hour (most courses are 3-4 load hours)

Candidates may be hired and assigned to specific courses or may be included in a pool for potential future assignments based on enrollment.
Part-time/temporary faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. Instructors in these courses will be using active learning strategies, online resources and will provide equitable instruction for our students.
