St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for a part‑time adjunct position in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance, beginning summer 2024. St. Edward's is committed to the Holy Cross educational mission of educating hearts and minds of a diverse student body that is deeply committed to social justice.

The successful candidate will fill curricular needs on a part‑time basis as needed. This position is continuously open and qualified persons will be selected to teach undergraduate courses as the need arises. Appointments are generally made on a semester‑by‑semester basis, with positions renewable, contingent upon need and performance.

For Consideration
  • Ph. D. or Master’s degree (with 18 graduate hours in the field of teaching) is required.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach courses in the fields listed above according to the learning objectives set forth by the department. Teaching modality is primarily in‑person (face‑to‑face) with some flexible options.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
  • Provide culturally responsive teaching and mentoring services to a diverse body.
  • Utilize the university’s learning management system (Canvas). Training is available.
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with all policies and procedures of the department, school, and university. Adjunct instructors must be available on campus for one office hour per week per course taught.
  • Other duties as assigned.
