Salt Lake Community College invites applications for a pooled adjunct position to teach Introductory and Intermediate English Composition and related courses as needed. The role is on-site across SLCC locations, with employment offered on a semester-by-semester basis and no guaranteed continuation.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in English or related field and at least one year of postsecondary teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, Composition, Writing Theory, TESOL, or related field.
• One-year post-secondary composition teaching experience.
• Graduate coursework in writing and reading pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Teach Introductory and Intermediate English Composition and other courses as needed.
• Follow the published curriculum and deliver lectures and classroom activities.
• Use Canvas shells and maintain accurate records including attendance and grades.
• Coordinate ADA accommodation requests and provide timely feedback on student progress.
• Submit final grades on time and participate in ELWS assessment initiatives.
