Job Title: Part-Time EMT/AEMT Instructor

Location: Georgia Institute of EMS - Covington, Georgia

Schedule: Part-time; minimum one night per week, 6 PM - 10 PM. Daytime classes are available.

Job Summary:

We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable EMT/AEMT Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students aspiring to become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) or Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT). This role involves teaching, mentoring, and guiding students through both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for the EMT/AEMT certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and informative lectures on EMT/AEMT curriculum, including medical procedures, patient assessment, emergency response techniques, and other relevant topics.
  2. Supervise and evaluate students in practical skills sessions and simulations.
  3. Prepare and administer examinations, quizzes, and other assessments.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in emergency medical care and education.
  5. Provide feedback and support to students, fostering a positive and conducive learning environment.
  6. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to EMT/AEMT training.
  7. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to curriculum development and improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Current licensure as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic.
  2. Current licensure as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic Course Coordinator.
  3. Previous teaching or training experience in a relevant field is preferred.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  6. Basic computer and technology skills for classroom management and administration.
