The instructor is responsible for designing, implementing, teaching, evaluating, and revising the program's curriculum and related educational materials as assigned for the delivery of both residential and distance education courses. The instructor assists in the development and evaluation of student admission, progression, retention, graduation and related program and college policies. Accountable for student outcomes, the instructor acts as a resource for students, providing support, remediation, academic advisement and counseling, and referral as needed. The instructor actively engages in scholarly pursuits to enhance metaprofessional skills and support learning in the areas of educational theory, instructional design and delivery, assessment, and systematic evaluation relative to both residential and distance education methods. Each member of the faculty shall maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing. The instructor participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of RHS and RCHC. The instructor performs other duties as assigned.
