Job Title: Adjunct Early Childhood Education Instructor

Location: Lake County Campus - Clear Lake, CA

Job Description

The person selected will be expected to organize and teach all levels of lecture and laboratory Early Childhood Education classes; prepare complete course syllabi and outlines; actively participate with the ECE Advisory Committee and child development agencies; facilitate student learning by working to develop every student’s abilities and by designing varied and motivational learning environments, which may include Distance Learning; participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees; be committed to, and participate in the shared-governance process.

Required Duties

Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education, or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education.

OR Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies, or family and consumer studies, or the equivalent.
