Job summary

Kean University invites applications for AdjunctFaculty in the Computer Science and Technology program. Courses taught may include Information Technology Foundations, AI, Computer Systems, Algorithms, Web Programming, Java and Python. Positions are non-tenure track and taught on a per-credit basis.

Master's degree required; ABD and related doctorates encouraged. LMS proficiency required, with teaching hours during daytime/evening.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field and teaching experience are required unless otherwise indicated.
• ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required, in line with University guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate level courses in-person at the Union or Jersey City campus.
• Offer office hours: at least 1 hour per week per semester for each class, with additional time for more classes.
• Maintain availability outside classroom time as per course load and credit hours.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, assessments and feedback in alignment with program goals.
