Union County College invites applications for an adjunct Computer Science faculty to teach Cybersecurity, Python, Java, and C# in evening courses for Spring 2027, across Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield campuses.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree and have community college teaching experience. They should be able to teach in person or online and contribute to program assessment, using diverse teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required.
• Some teaching experience is required.
• Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.
• Additional official transcripts must be submitted to Human Resources upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with catalog descriptions and approved syllabi.
• Adheres to schedule of classes and uses interactive technologies where possible.
• Incorporates diverse lifestyles and perspectives into courses.
• Meets all scheduled class meetings and maintains accurate grade records.
• Submits grades by published deadlines and participates in assessment of learning outcomes.
• Plans in advance for supplies, textbooks, and equipment for classes.
