Job summary

Central Carolina Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions in the Allied Health program.

Under general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager, instructors will prepare students for the state's nursing assistant certification exam, covering CPR, first aid, anatomy, patient care, vital signs, hygiene, and range-of-motion exercises, infection control, and safety, with hands-on training

Qualifications

• Minimum two years RN nursing experience including at least one year in long-term care within the last five years.
• Candidates must obtain SCDHEC approval prior to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Prepare students for the state's nursing assistant certification exam.
• Teach CPR, first aid, anatomy, patient care basics including vital signs, hygiene and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide hands-on training in lab settings and at a local nursing home facility.

Under general supervision of the Allied Health Program Manager,instructor will prepare students for their state's nursingassistant certification exam. Classwork includes training onperforming CPR, first aid skills, human anatomy, basics of patientcaregiving including taking vital signs, personal hygiene andrange-of-motion exercises, infection control, and general safety.CNA classes offered by Central Carolina Technical College will alsoprovide specifics on working with their patient population, whetherthey are elderly residents of a nursing home or patients for a homehealthcare agency. CNA programs will also include hands-on traininghours in the lab and at a local Nursing Home Facility workingdirectly with patients in which students can put their classworkinto practice.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years RN nursing experience including at leastone (1) year in the provision in long term care nursing serviceswithin the last five (5) years . Candidates must get SCDHECapproval prior to teaching.
