Job description

Position: Choir Director - Tri-State Community Chorus

The instructor will be responsible for directing the Tri-State Community Chorus, a choir consisting of both LMU students and local community members. Responsibilities include:

1. Holding weekly choir rehearsals on Monday evenings from 7-9 pm.
2. Scheduling, programming, and executing one performance on-campus near the end of each semester.
3. Auditioning and awarding participation scholarships to students each Fall.
4. Collaborating with other music faculty to award annual endowed scholarships to outstanding students each Spring.
5. Providing course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual.
6. Participating in annual faculty evaluations.
7. Performing other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Qualifications

Required

• MM or Master's Degree in a related field or extensive experience as a choir director.
• Piano skills.

Preferred

• At least 2-3 years of experience directing a choir at any level.
• Piano skills sufficient to perform parts for rehearsals and performances.
