Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metro Campus in Teaneck, NJ, seeks an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry Lab for Fall 2026. The instructor will teach lab sections in general and organic chemistry, guiding students through weekly experiments and evaluating notebooks and reports.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or higher in chemistry or a related field; teaching experience is preferred and industrial background welcomed. Background check is required; position is temporary.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in chemistry or closely related field.
• Teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach laboratory courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry and health sciences.
• Guide students through weekly in-person laboratory experiments and assess notebooks and reports.
• Maintain a safe laboratory environment, ensure PPE use, and proper waste handling.
